It is very unfortunate that he is accused of a crime he did not commit. If he acts that way people see him then show him that he is different than anyone else cause he special in his own way. On that matter if you would focus on communicating with him constantly. It would show him that your a persistent person who would not give up on him. Being on death row is taking a total on him mentally. It would be in  the best interest to make him reminisce about the good things that prospered in his life. To give him a sense of freedom that he had before imprisonment. He says he is a hog but ask him "what makes him think that he's a hog" this will get him thinking and a chance for you to really talk to him.  Instead of you teach him how to die as a man show him the foundation of what it takes to be a man who works hard to provide for himself and others. The sacrifice you have to make in life to get you where you are and if you are not able to show him how to be a man is no excuse cause you experience alot of things in your life that show sign of being a man. Think it over and ask yourself "what have I changed from my teenage years to my adulthood" and there will be your answer.
